Counteract stress – achieve a balanced life-style

FågelstreckMany of us experience an increasing level of negative stress in our life and work situation and see no practical opportunities for change.We feel, however, that it is quite possible to reduce strong negative stress. It is possible to get back to a normal life in spite of burn-out.

Our experience shows that the important change occurs as soon as you discover your innate creativity and receive more information about stress – as well as acquire tools and methods with which to deal with everyday stress.

Target Group

This training is aimed at managers and group leaders at different levels.

Content

The participants gain an overall understanding of stress and the measures necessary to handle different situations in a constructive way.

  • What is stress?
  • What happens physically in times of stress?
  • How can you recognise the different warning signals of stress and ill-health?
  • Important factors for the prevention of stress and ill-health.
  • Ways in which your behaviour and that of others changes in times of stress.
  • Ways to manage stress in different situations.
  • The effect of personality on stress management.
  • Supporting others who are in stressful situations.
  • Effective communication as support in cases of stress and burn-out.
  • Working models for the prevention of stress in individuals and groups.
  • Practical information, methods and tools to improve stress management.

Scope

The training is run over two days at a course centre. Theory sessions are interwoven with practical exercises adapted to everyday situations in the organisations. The participants receive a number of practical tools to use when back in the workplace.
